On The Road Navy Pier & More - Saturday, June 28 Meet at the Village hall at 9am to board a charter bus for Navy Pier. Spend the day at Navy Pier or take the city bus or free trolley around Chicago, even to The Taste. The bus will return to Dwight from Navy Pier at 7pm. Cost $20 (includes transportation only); 18 and older unless accompanied by an adult. Joliet Jackhammers Game - Saturday, August 2. It's Dwight Night at the Jackhammers! We provide tickets, and you provide the transportation. Be at Silver Cross Field as the Jackhammers take on Winnipeg at 7:05pm. DTHS student Pete Moyemont will be singing the National Anthem at the game. Fireworks follow the game. Cost $9 per ticket. High School Musical - Sunday July 13; Meet at the Village Hall at 1:00pm to board a charter bus for the Community Players Theater in Bloomington for the matinee showing of High School Musical. Based on the highly successful Disney television film this modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet focuses on the captain of the basketball team and a shy transfer student who get the lead parts in their high school musical. $20 Age 15 and under; $30 Adults; $27.50 Senior Citizens; 18 and older unless accompanied by an adult. White Sox Game - Monday, July 21 - A chartered coach will leave the Village Hall at 3:30pm for the 7:11 White Sox vs Texas Rangers game. Tickets are in right center field, section 10. Cost $32.50 (includes transportation and ticket); 18 and older unless accompanied by an adult. Starved Rock Wine Trail - Saturday August 9 - Board a chartered bus at 9:30am at the Village Hall to Starved Rock State Park. Tour includes soup and salad bar lunch at Starved Rock Lodge; a wine glass, and tastings at both August Hill Winery and Starved Rock Wine Company at Cattails Gift Shop. Cost: $40 (includes transportation, meal, wine glass and 2 tastings); Must be 21 to attend. Cooking Cooking Adventures "Meals with Morts" Alan and Elaine Mortensen are back by poplular demand for three more exciting evenings of culinary delight. SIgn up for one, two, or all sessions. The cost is $30 per session, and each class will be limited to 30 participants.
